Hi Everyone,
I've been asked a lot of questions by friends & fans about my background, what I am doing now, and the years I spent creating with Barry Manilow. At the present time I live in Los Angeles where I've just finished some great new projects... Legends Live, my current CD "Favorites"... half a dozen Christmas tracks for a new Christmas album I'm working on... I'm also working on a new tour for 2001 with new albums and videos for the website on the way!!
In 1999-2000, I finished producing several videos which
include some of the best artists of the 60's
and 70's. These videos include such artists as
The Association, The Grass Roots, Mark Lindsay,
Lou Christie, and Brian Hyland
just to name a few. Also, I am involved in the
development of some exciting new recording artists.

Even though I am currently enjoying the weather in
sunny California, I was born in Staten Island,
New York. I started my career as a singer/songwriter
with Don Kirshner at the age of 16. I started
producing and singing my own demos for him and
sang on many records.

I produced some of The Archie albums and sang on all of
them as well as "Sugar, Sugar" which was the
number one song in 1969. 1969 was a fun year for me.
Not only did I sing "Sugar, Sugar", I also
sang a song called "Tracy" which charted at #5
at the same time. I was also the singing voice on many
commercials over the years for products which most of you
are familiar with.

Barry and I met while we were both singing a commercial which
Barry had written. The other singers on that commercial were
Valerie Simpson and Melissa Manchester. Barry asked me to
listen to some of his songs that day and I did. I knew right
away that he was a star. I felt with our shared talents and
experiences we could create some hit records together... and
the rest is history as they say.

I'm always keeping busy. It's great that today I have the
opportunity to utilize the internet to keep in contact
with new fans & friends. Anyone who'd like to email me
feel free to do so. I try to answer every email I get!

With Lots of LOVE,
Ron Dante
